Timothy C. Dietz - Attorney
Timothy C. Dietz: Tim was born in Canton, Ohio, in 1957. He earned his bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, graduating summa cum laude, from National University in 1994 while serving in the Marine Corps. Following a highly successful military career, Tim earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, with a certificate in Law, Technology, and Communications in 2006 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, California. While attending law school, Tim served as a member of its Mock Trial team.
During his military career that spanned more than
24 years and included worldwide deployments, Tim worked his way up through the ranks the long and hard way. He served as both an enlisted Marine, achieving the rank of gunnery sergeant, and in the officer corps holding three warrant officer grades before his appointment to captain, and influenced large organizations.
He is a graduate of Drill Instructor school, the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, and The Warrant Officer Basic Course where he graduated near the top of each class, and he was the Military Skills Honor Graduate at the Warrant Officer Basic Course. Tim is experienced in helicopter and fixed-wing aviation
maintenance and ordnance programs.
During Operations Desert Shield and Storm, Tim was the ordnance officer for a Marine AV-8B Harrier squadron. Prior to leaving the Marine Corps, Tim was the Force Aviation Ordnance Officer for the Naval Surface Force, United States Pacific Fleet, where he was responsible for ammunition logistics and aviation ordnance safety programs for seventeen amphibious ships in the Pacific fleet.
Among his numerous military awards are the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
Shortly after leaving the ‘Corps, Tim worked for Intel® Corporation in Folsom, California and in San Diego, California, as a senior software engineer and validation program manager. In these positions, he managed direct reporting employees, wrote test applications and test management algorithms, and directly contributed to the successful releases of multiple graphics driver and wireless networking products.
During law school, Tim served as a law clerk at Brownwood, Chazen & Cannon, the San Diego law office for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. While at Liberty Mutual, Tim provided direct support to eight trial attorneys, in personal injury litigation and insurance subrogation, by writing complaints, answers, cross-complaints, motions, and drafting discovery.
Tim has been active in community affairs. He organized, and served as the voice talent for the High School Sports Ticker program that aired, collectively, for three years on KRTM, 88.9FM, and KXFG, 92.9FM, in Temecula, California. As a result of his work with the Sports Ticker, Tim was invited to provide color commentary during ten live and delayed broadcast high school football games.
Recently admitted to the bar, Tim was selected for employment by Nadeau & Associates, P.A. based on his strong leadership and organizational abilities and exceptional work ethic and dedication to client needs. A trial lawyer and general practitioner, Tim represents the firm’s clients in all Maine state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
Tim enjoys developing software, running, cycling, motorcycling, digital photography, and scuba diving. He lives in Wells with Debbie, his wife of nearly thirty years.
